Terry Talks Delamere Cheese!

During ‘British Cheese Week’ whilst he was presenting his BBC Radio Two show, Terry Wogan made a desperate appeal for some cheese to nibble on. Delamere quickly responded to the challenge by hand delivering a hamper of cheese to the British Broadcasting House in London. After some careful negotiation with the BBC security guards, the selection of Delamere cheeses was successfully delivered to Terry. The next day we were pleased to hear Terry happily munching on our cheese and raising great awareness for goats’ cheese and Delamere Dairy!

Try Goats' Milk for Free!

Delamere Dairy is working in partnership with its local newspaper - the Knutsford Guardian - to encourage local residents to try goats' milk - for free!

Knutsford Guardian readers can exchange the voucher printed in the newspaper on 15th July at Booths supermarket in Knutsford or via D&PM Sheldons by calling 01565 634509.

We've joined forces with The Ramblers (formerly The Ramblers’ Association)to offer discounted Ramblers membership through purchases of our fresh goats’ milk.

New UHT Semi-skimmed Goats' Milk

(April 2009)

UHT semi-skimmed goats’ milk is now available from Delamere Dairy and it joins our popular UHT whole goats’ milk to expand the long-life milk range.

UHT (ultra high temperature) products are heat treated to extend their keeping qualities, by destroying the bacteria which would otherwise cause the milk to go sour. You can store UHT semi-skimmed goats’ milk in the cupboard until you’re ready to use it. Once opened, it should be treated as fresh milk, refrigerated and used within 3 days.

Semi-skimmed milk has a fat content of 1.7% and whole goats’ milk contains around 3.5% fat, making the UHT semi-skimmed milk a great alternative for people who need a lower fat option.

Delamere Dairy’s UHT semi-skimmed goats’ milk comes in 1 litre cartons and is available in Asda from April 2009. More stockists will follow so please keep an eye on our ‘Where can I buy’ page.

A Time for Giving - Christmas 2008

Delamere Dairy is doing their bit for the kids this Christmas. For the second year running they’ll be lending their support to the charity Kids for Kids, which runs sustainable projects in villages in Darfur, Sudan.

Last Christmas, Delamere Dairy donated goats to villages in Darfur as part of the Kids for Kids sustainable farming project, and this year they’re going one better. Special packs of their fresh whole and semi-skimmed goats’ milk are now hitting the shelves nationwide bearing the icon of Delamere Dairy’s resident goat, Jack, in a festive blanket. During November and December, Delamere Dairy has pledged to donate 1p from every carton sold to the Christmas Blanket Appeal, to help Kids for Kids reach their target of buying 2 blankets for every family in 52 sponsored villages.

Skimmed Goats' Milk launched

Delamere Dairy has added a fresh skimmed goats’ milk to its range. The milk launched in Asda on 22nd September 2008. The virtually fat-free milk is available in 1 litre cartons with a recommended retail price of £1.34. Delamere is working hard to make the skimmed milk available in more shops and supermarkets. New look to Delamere Dairy products

Delamere Dairy goats’ products now have a refreshing new look. The products haven’t changed…they’re still the same delicious Delamere favourites. But the packaging is new, clearer and even more informative. So keep your eye open for our Fresh Whole and Semi-Skimmed Milk, Long Life Milk, Butter, Cheeses and New Yogurt range….all in the new style pack.

New Yogurt Range

To coincide with the launch of Delamere Dairy’s new packaging, we’ve introduced a new flavour to our Yogurt range. A gloriously tasty Honey yogurt will join the Natural yogurt and the Raspberry and Strawberry flavours.

Raspberry and Natural will be available in 125g pots, with Strawberry, Honey and Natural all available in larger 350g pots.

Greek Goats Cheese

In response to demand, we’re now packing our Greek Goats' Cheese as a 200g block – instead of the smaller cubes – so you can cut it to suit your own taste. Use it as a canapé with olives and sundried tomatoes, or as the topping for a perfect Greek Salad.
