Bullet Goats were one of the very first animals to be ‘farmed’ and were being herded as long as 9000 years ago!
Bullet Goats’ milk can be used just as cows' milk. Drink it ice cold, pour it on your cereals or use it in all your favourite recipes. Gorgeous.
Bullet The pupil in a goat’s eye isn’t round…it’s rectangular! No, it doesn’t watch too much telly. It’s believed that goats’ have excellent vision so they can easily browse at night.
Bullet There are an estimated 450,000,000 goats in the world, and over 210 different breeds. The majority of the goat population can be found in the Middle East and Asia.
Bullet Believe it or not, goats only have bottom teeth. They have a hard palette on the top which they use to ‘mouth’ their food.

Bullet Kids (baby goats) have 8 small, sharp teeth in their lower front jaw. Like children, when these baby teeth fall out they are replaced by permanent teeth.
Bullet Goats can climb, run, crawl under fences and, in some cases, jump heights of over five feet! Most goats will also stand on their back legs to reach tree branches and shrubs.
Bullet A male goat is called a Billy or Buck and a female goat is called a Nanny or Doe.
