At Delamere Dairy, we try to live by our 3 buzzwords –
“fun” “healthy” “responsible”
and we put these at the heart of all we do. So we look to join forces with other organisations who follow a similar ethos.
Kids for Kids
We’ve supported the Kids for Kids charity in a number of ways over the last few years (our long standing customers may remember our ‘Blankets for Darfur’ campaign a few Christmases ago). Kids for Kids is a charity helping families in Darfur, Sudan, who live in unimaginable and inexcusable hardship, by adopting villages and facilitating simple grassroots schemes to support a sustainable future. Their “Goat Loan” scheme saves lives. Kids for Kids lends six goats to a family, which provide milk and an increasing income as the little flock grows. After 2 years, 6 healthy kids are passed to another family in the same desperate need - and the loan goes on. Take a look at their website to see how you could help, or perhaps even donate a goat! www.kidsforkids.org.ukRead More
Delamere Forest Hatchmere Trail
30 years ago Delamere Dairy started life in Delamere Forest when Liz & Roger Sutton bought their first three goats. To commemorate and celebrate this, we’ve teamed up with Cheshire Wildlife Trust to revitalise and reinstate the conservation charity’s walk around Hatchmere.
Hatchmere, at the edge of Delamere Forest Park, is just one of a series of hundreds of meres and mosslands peppered across the North West, formed by the glacial action at the end of the last Ice Age around 15,000 years ago.
